When to Call for an Emergency

• Your gate is stuck and you can't get your car out (or in)
• The gate is stuck open and your property is unsecured
• The gate is blocking a shared access or public right of way
• A safety device has failed and the gate is operating unsafely
• The gate trapped or hit something and needs immediate inspection

If you're not sure whether it's an emergency, call anyway. We'll tell you honestly whether it needs a same-day visit or can wait for a standard booking.

How Emergency Callouts Work

1. Call 07542 024681 — describe the problem
2. If we're in your area and have availability, we'll confirm a same-day visit within 30 minutes
3. If we're not nearby, we'll offer the next available slot or talk you through a temporary fix over the phone
4. Emergency visits are 1 hour — diagnosis and repair on the spot where possible

Weekend and evening emergencies: Bookings are confirmed or declined within 30 minutes. If not confirmed in that window, the booking automatically cancels so you're not left waiting.

While You Wait — Manual Release Instructions

Most electric gates have a manual release that lets you push the gate open by hand. This won't fix the fault, but it'll get your car out while you wait for your engineer.

CAME Motors

Look for a triangular key slot on the motor housing. Insert the key (usually supplied with the gate) and turn. The motor disengages and the gate swings freely.

BFT Motors

There's usually a release lever or key on the motor. On underground BFT motors, the access point is at ground level behind a small cover plate.

Nice Motors

Nice motors typically have a key release on the motor body. Turn the key and the gate can be moved manually.

Sliding Gates

Most sliding gate motors have a lever or handle that disengages the drive gear. Pull or turn the release mechanism and slide the gate open by hand.

Same-day if available: Bromley, Sevenoaks, Esher, Worthing, Chichester, Eastbourne

For areas further from Horsham, we may offer a next-morning slot if same-day isn't feasible. We'll always be honest about timing.
